Every January select Colorado gas stations offer ski lift ticket coupons. For every ten gallons of gasoline one purchases, one gets a voucher for a BOGO free adult lift ticket.
This coupon returned for the 2017 season with fewer participating ski resorts. It is worth the bother if one failed to purchase their lift tickets pre-season. It always is cheaper to buy a pass in the spring and summer than wait till winter. They can all be purchased online.
Participating ski resorts in Colorado include:
- Copper Mountain
- Crested Butte
- Monarch Mountain
- Powderhorn Mountain Resort
- Sunlight Mountain Resort
Read the rules on the website.
After pumping your gas, go inside the station. Get a voucher and receipt. Have both stamped by the clerk. Take both validated pieces to the lift ticket window. Get two adult lift tickets for the price of one. Both tickets have to be used the same day. Both guests must be present when they are purchased.
There are numerous Shell stations in Colorado that issue the vouchers. There are stations in Idaho Springs, Georgetown, Silverthorne, Glenwood Springs, Grand Junction, and Buena Vista. There’s a nearby station close to every participating resort. The entire list is on the website.
The vouchers are valid until 4/16/17. There are blackout days for some resorts. Crested Butte is the only ski resort with blackout days in March.
One can only get one voucher per 10 gallon purchase. The vouchers can only be obtained at a gas station. There is no online printing.
The vouchers are available at select Shell and Exxon gas stations. If you see a sign on top of a pump, they are participating.
Every ski season participating ski resorts are different. What may have been available last season may no longer be true this season. Plan ahead and save money on your lift ticket purchases.
