The 2011 – 2012 Colorado ski season is screeching to a halt at most resorts within the next two weeks or so. It’s not too early to be thinking about next season.
Many resorts are already selling their passes for the 2012 – 2013 ski season. Some offers include skiing the rest of this season with next season’s pass. Others like the Epic Pass products and the Rocky Mountain Super Pass let you reserve your pass for just $49 down payment.
Spring is usually the best time to buy a ski season pass in Colorado. The prices are going to be lower now than in the fall and some passes come with summer benefits. Check out your favorite resort to see if they have a deal going.
While you are on a ski pass buying frenzy – don’t forget to buy season pass insurance. If you get hurt and can’t use your pass – the ski resorts won’t refund your money unless you have pass insurance.
Some discount passes don’t go on sale until around Labor Day weekend. Most notably the Aspen Classic Pass and the discount Telluride Cards. These products have to purchased in-person for a new pass product. Renewals can be done online.
