Frequent skiers and snowboarders to Colorado ski resorts know that they can buy discount ski lift tickets at several Front Range grocery store chains. Safeway is one Colorado grocery store chain that sells ski lift tickets at its customer service desk.

Like King Soopers and City Market, Safeway does not sell lift tickets to every Colorado ski resort. Safeway sells lift tickets to Monarch Mountain, Copper Mountain, Winter Park Resort, Crested Butte, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Eldora Mountain Resort, Ski Cooper, Sol Vista, and Ski Sunlight at its Front Range locations. Safeway does not sell single-day or multi-day lift tickets to Steamboat Ski Resort, Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen, or Telluride.

Multi-day lift tickets to Keystone and Breckenridge are available for purchase at a very small discount at the Safeway grocery store in Frisco, Colorado location in Summit County. With the purchase of multi-day lift tickets, a few days can be used at Vail or Beaver Creek. Contact the customer service desk for current pricing, lift ticket availability, and service desk hours. 1008 Summit Boulevard, Frisco, CO (970) 668-5144

Ski vacationers driving from Denver International Airport (DIA) can purchase lift tickets at Safeway grocery store locations in the Denver Metro Area. Convenient store locations along Intestate 70 include the I-70/Pecos Street grocery store (303) 477-2997 and the store in Idaho Springs (303) 567-4471.

If you can’t find a Safeway, one can always stop at a Front King Soopers grocery store and purchase discount ski lift tickets or E Book coupon books. They carry the same lift tickets and pricing. The E Book has numerous discount coupons to Loveland Ski Area, Monarch Mountain, Copper Mountain, Winter Park Resort, Eldora Mountain Resort, Arapahoe Basin, and Keystone for only $10. Ask for it at the customer service desk. Look for the King Soopers store at Exit 264 off Interstate 70.

Pricing Dec 17, 2010 (prices fluctuate):
Monarch Mountain: adult (16-61) – $47
Copper Mountain: adult (13+) – $59

Winter Park: adult (13+) – $72
Breckenridge/Keystone: adult – $89
Crested Butte: adult – $80
